REBEKAH
THE GIRL AT THE WELL WHO SAID 'I WILL GO'
“The woman at the well who said 'I will go.'”
MEET REBEKAH
Abraham's servant prayed for a sign at the well — and before he finished praying, Rebekah arrived with her jar and watered ten thirsty camels. When they asked if she would leave everything for a man she'd never met, she answered in three words: 'I will go.'
THE STORY
Her kindness to a stranger was the answer to a prayer she never heard. Rebekah's generous heart — drawing water for camels until they finished drinking is no small task — marked her as the bride for the son of promise. She became Isaac's wife and comfort, mother of twins who wrestled from the womb, and grandmother of the twelve tribes. Her story reminds every believer: ordinary faithfulness at an ordinary well can intersect with the plan of God.
