ISAAC
THE PROMISED SON • GOD WILL PROVIDE
“The promised son — spared on the mountain where God provided.”
MEET ISAAC
The miracle baby of two ninety-year-olds, the boy who asked 'Where is the lamb?' on Mount Moriah — and heard the answer that echoes all the way to Calvary: 'God will provide for Himself the lamb.'
THE STORY
Isaac carried the wood up the mountain where his father had been told to offer him — and walked back down alive, spared by the ram caught in the thicket. He grew into a quiet man of the promise: he dug again the wells his father had dug, prayed for his barren wife until God answered, and passed the blessing to the next generation. His near-sacrifice remains one of Scripture's clearest pictures of another beloved Son who carried wood up a hill — and was not spared, so we could be.
