SARAH
MOTHER OF NATIONS • SHE LAUGHED
“The mother of nations who laughed — and then held the promise.”
MEET SARAH
She overheard the promise from the tent door and laughed — a ninety-year-old having a baby? A year later she was laughing for a different reason, holding the child named 'laughter.'
THE STORY
Sarah left everything alongside Abraham, chasing a promise that took twenty-five years to arrive. She schemed, she waited, she doubted — and when the LORD asked, 'Is anything too hard for the LORD?', heaven already knew the answer. Isaac was born at the set time God had spoken, and Sarah said: 'God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.' Scripture remembers her not for the doubting laugh, but the joyful one — and Hebrews counts her among the faithful who judged Him faithful who had promised.

PRAYER & REFLECTION
