JOSHUA
BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE
“Moses' successor: 'As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.'”
MEET JOSHUA
Moses' young assistant became the general who led Israel across the Jordan, around Jericho's walls, and into the promise — carrying one command from God like a banner: 'Be strong and of good courage.'
THE STORY
Joshua was one of only two spies who believed God could take the land. Forty years later God told him: 'As I was with Moses, so I will be with you… Be strong and of good courage.' He led Israel through a parted Jordan, marched silently around Jericho until the walls fell flat, and divided the inheritance among the tribes. His farewell still rings in a thousand doorways: 'As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.' His very name — Yeshua, 'The LORD saves' — is the name of Jesus.
