CALEB
HE WHOLLY FOLLOWED THE LORD
“The spy who wholly followed the LORD — still claiming mountains at 85.”
MEET CALEB
Ten spies saw giants; Caleb saw grapes and a faithful God. Forty-five years later, at eighty-five, he was still saying the same thing: 'Give me this mountain!'
THE STORY
Caleb came back from Canaan carrying a cluster of grapes so big it took two men to pole it — and a report of faith: 'Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.' The crowd chose fear; Caleb and Joshua alone lived to enter the land. Scripture gives him one repeated epitaph — 'he wholly followed the LORD' — and at eighty-five he claimed the giant-filled hill country of Hebron with the same fire he had at forty. Faith doesn't retire.
