Noah's Big Boat

Genesis 6:9–9:17

WHAT HAPPENED

Noah walked with God. God told Noah to bring living creatures into the ark, two of every kind, male and female, to keep them alive. Noah and his family went into the ark because of the flood waters, and the waters lifted the ark high above the earth. After forty days, Noah opened the window of the ark. Then God gave a covenant sign for Noah and every living creature for generations to come.

Noah was a just man. He was upright in his family line. Noah walked with God.

Two by Two

God told Noah to bring living creatures into the ark. He was to bring two of every sort to keep them alive with him. They were male and female.

The Door Shuts

Noah went into the ark because of the flood waters. His sons went with him. Noah’s wife and his sons’ wives went in too.

Safe in the Ark

The flood stayed on the earth for forty days. The waters grew deeper and lifted up the ark. The ark rose high above the earth.

The Dove and the Leaf

At the end of forty days, Noah opened the window of the ark. It was the window of the ark he had made. Noah looked out from there.

A Rainbow Promise

God said He was making a covenant sign. This sign was between God, Noah, and every living creature with him. It was for generations to come.

Genesis 9:12

Genesis 9:13

WHAT WE LEARN

God cared for Noah and kept him safe in the ark. God also made a covenant and gave a sign for generations. We can trust God, because He keeps His promises.
