MEET SOLOMON
When God said 'Ask! What shall I give you?', the young king didn't ask for riches or long life — he asked for an understanding heart. God gave him wisdom beyond measure... and everything he didn't ask for besides.
THE STORY
Solomon judged with legendary discernment, wrote three thousand proverbs, and built the temple his father David had dreamed of — when the glory of the LORD filled it, the priests could not even stand to minister. Yet the wisest man's heart was slowly turned by compromise, and his later years preach their own sermon: 'Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man's all.' Jesus said of Himself: 'a greater than Solomon is here.'
