God Opens the Red Sea

Exodus 14

WHAT HAPPENED

God’s people were camping by the sea when Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, horsemen, and army caught up with them. Moses told the people not to be afraid, but to stand still and see the Lord save them. Then the Lord told Moses to tell the children of Israel to go forward. Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord made a dry path through the water all night. The children of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry land, with water on both sides.
