MEET THE WOMAN AT THE WELL
She came to Jacob's well at noon, alone, carrying a water jar and a complicated story. Jesus was waiting there — and He asked her for a drink. By the end of the conversation, she had met the Messiah.
THE STORY
Jews didn't speak to Samaritans, and men didn't speak to women like her — but Jesus did. He offered her living water, 'a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.' He knew everything she ever did, and loved her anyway. When she said 'I know that Messiah is coming,' Jesus answered: 'I who speak to you am He.' She left her water jar, ran into town, and said, 'Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did!' Many Samaritans believed because of her word — the first evangelist of Samaria.
