MEET THOMAS
Thomas is remembered for doubting — but don't miss his courage ('Let us also go, that we may die with Him') or his confession, one of the clearest declarations of Jesus' deity in all of Scripture.
THE STORY
Thomas missed the first appearance of the risen Jesus and said he wouldn't believe without touching the wounds. A week later Jesus stood before him: 'Reach your finger here… Do not be unbelieving, but believing.' Thomas fell down: 'My Lord and my God!' Jesus replied, 'Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed' — a blessing spoken over every believer since.
