MORDECAI
GUARDIAN • WATCHMAN AT THE GATE
“Esther's guardian who would not bow — raised up for such a time.”
MEET MORDECAI
The exile who raised his orphaned cousin as his own daughter — and whose quiet faithfulness at the king's gate positioned him to help save his entire people.
THE STORY
Mordecai adopted Hadassah — Esther — and coached her rise in the Persian court. He refused to bow to Haman, uncovered a plot against the king, and when the decree of death went out against the Jews, he sent Esther the words that still ring: 'Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?' God's name is never mentioned in Esther's book, yet His hand moves through every page — and the man in sackcloth ended the story clothed in royal robes, seeking the good of his people.
