MEET MARTHA
Martha of Bethany opened her home to Jesus. She's famous for being busy in the kitchen — but don't miss it: her confession of faith stands beside Peter's.
THE STORY
When her brother Lazarus died, Martha ran to meet Jesus on the road. 'Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.' Jesus told her, 'I am the resurrection and the life.' And Martha answered: 'Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God.' Minutes later, her brother walked out of the tomb.
