MEET JOSIAH
Crowned at eight years old, Josiah tore his robes when the lost Book of the Law was found in the temple — and led the greatest revival Judah ever saw.
THE STORY
Josiah became king at eight, and at sixteen 'he began to seek the God of his father David.' While repairing the temple, workers found a dusty scroll — the lost Book of the Law. When it was read to Josiah, he tore his clothes and wept: a whole nation had forgotten God's Word. He read it aloud to all the people, tore down every idol, restored the Passover — a celebration unlike any since the days of the judges. Scripture's verdict: 'Before him there was no king like him, who turned to the LORD with all his heart… nor after him did any arise like him.'
