JOSEPH
DREAMER • FORGIVER • PRESERVER OF LIFE
“Sold as a slave, raised to save nations — what was meant for evil, God meant for good.”
MEET JOSEPH
His brothers sold him as a slave. Potiphar's wife lied about him. The cupbearer forgot him. And through every betrayal, 'the LORD was with Joseph' — until the prisoner stood second only to Pharaoh.
THE STORY
Joseph's coat of many colors made his brothers burn with envy; his dreams made it worse. Sold to Egypt, he served faithfully in Potiphar's house, kept his integrity when tempted, interpreted dreams in prison, and rose to rule Egypt through seven years of famine. When his terrified brothers stood before him, Joseph wept and forgave: 'You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to save many people alive.' His life is one of Scripture's clearest pictures of Christ — the rejected brother who became the savior of those who betrayed him.
