JOB
THE LORD GAVE, AND THE LORD HAS TAKEN AWAY
“The sufferer who worshiped in the storm: 'I know that my Redeemer lives.'”
MEET JOB
He lost everything in a single day — and worshiped anyway. Job's honest wrestling with suffering became Scripture's deepest answer to pain: not an explanation, but a Person.
THE STORY
Job was blameless and upright, the greatest man of the east — until the day messengers came running, one after another, and everything was gone. He tore his robe, fell to the ground… and worshiped: 'The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.' Through boils and bad advice, through friends who talked too much and a wife who said 'curse God and die,' Job held on: 'Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him… I know that my Redeemer lives!' When God finally answered from the whirlwind, He gave no explanation — He gave Himself. And it was enough. The LORD restored Job double.

PRAYER & REFLECTION
