MEET JAMES
Scripture records almost nothing James son of Alphaeus said or did — and that's the point. He answered the call, stayed faithful through the cross and Pentecost, and served without needing to be seen.
THE STORY
Often called 'James the Less' to distinguish him from the son of Zebedee, he appears in every list of the twelve and was praying in the upper room after the resurrection. Most of the people who carry the Gospel through history are like him: unnamed in headlines, known fully by God.
